The CallSwitch Communicator app can be added to your Desktop PC or Laptop. This will allow you to access further features of the telephone system through your PC or Laptop. The app can be used to pair with your Deskphone or be used a Softphone App as long as your PC/Laptop has a microphone and speakers, this will allow you to make and receive calls without the need for a physical phone. *This guide is for installing CallSwitch on your PC or Laptop as a Softphone app to make and receive calls via your PC or Laptop. After initial set up of the system you will receive an email with your login credentials and download links for the CallSwitch App. Download the CallSwitch app by either selecting the Windows or the Apple download. Once the file has downloaded click on the file to run the installation. You will see this screen at the beginning of the installation process. After pressing Next you will need to agree to the licence agreement and then choose your installation location. This is normally filled automatically and so no need to change this. Keep pressing Next until you are prompted for the install. The install screen will look like this. Once the install is complete you will now need to open the app. You can do this by clicking on the windows button or searching for CallSwitch. Once opened CallSwitch will run it's login in Wizard. On the first page you will need to enter your email and the password that would have been sent to you in the original email with your login details. After entering these details click on advanced. Please note, if you already have logged in via the CallSwitch app on your mobile you will need to enter the password you have already created rather than the one from the email. You will now see the advanced details screen. In the login server box, enter mt8212.callswitch.net and then press Next. You will now be asked to change your password. If you have already logged in using the mobile version of CallSwitch and changed your password this will not appear. Your new password will need to have at least one uppercase and lower case character and a special character such as a ! or ?. The final screen of the profile wizard will look like the image below. You must make sure that Softphone is ticked and you have selected this as your default. After pressing Next, you will see the CallSwitch screen and you will have successfully logged into the app.

Image below of what you should see. Once the app has downloaded please open it and enter the login credentials provided in the email you received. After logging in for the first time you will need to change your password. The new password will require at least one upper case and lower case letter as well as a number and a special character such as ! or ?. After successfully changing your password there are several permissions you will need to accept in order for the app to work. They are detailed below. Now that the permissions have been allowed, you will be greeted with the following dial pad screen and CallSwitch Communicator is now ready to be used. Once your account has been activated and set up, you will receive an email from our system giving you your login credentials. It will look similar to the picture below. Now you have your login credentials, you will need to download the Callswitch Lite app from either the App Store or the Google Play Store. There is a link to each store in the email you received. The picture below shows the app you are looking for. Once the app has installed, open it and you will be asked to enter your login credentials. These were sent to you in the email. After you have logged in for the first time you will be asked to change your password. Please make sure you use at least one upper case letter as well as a lower case and a number, you will also need a special character like a ! or ?. Now your password has changed you will need to allow several permissions in order for the app to work. Follow the images below. Once you have gone through the permissions you will be fully logged in and will receive a screen like the image below. To make a call simply select a contact from your contacts or type in the number you require followed by the green call button.
